Design Goal and Interaction vision
The design goal was; I want to motivate children to ask support from people within their parents social network.
The interaction vision was; Give trust, support, security and confidence to children in taking the first step in asking for support. It’s like abseiling – insecure at first, but supported.
Connect
Connect exists of a box with different motivating ‘activity’ cards that the child can do together with his/her single living parent during their visit. The cards provide questions related to the activity which helps to explore together the informal social network. The idea is that this will support children in knowing who to ask for support. They will feel more confident. There is also a supportive phone application for the child to add people to the digital social network. Contacts form the card activities can immediately be added. Building up this support network will give the children a feeling of sucurity.
