Keywords: Rush hour, personal space

Design Goal
Give train travelers a sense of having a personal space, while sitting down next to a stranger in an intercity, during late afternoon rush hours

Interaction vision
The end of a kickbox match, when one fighter knows he already wins following by both showing respect to each other.

Design For Train Travels
The final design consists of two screens placed in front of two passengers sitting next to each other. Each screen is partly transparent . By flipping a screen open, passengers can create a boundary from those next to them . Additionally, when both screens are flipped open the transparency gets diminished. Hereby, one passenger is given the chance to show respect towards the one sitting next to him/her, by showing consideration in that person need for a personal space; in the means of closing the gaps of the already opened screen.
