Stimulating a conversation where both members have the comfort and space to share how they’re feeling is the goal of this product. Therefore, the set of plates encourages the user to carry out a self-reflection process and identify its own emotional state. Afterwards, this is shared during the meal by using the Conneatcted video-call software, achieving like this a stronger connection with the other person, moving from superficial talks to relevant topics.
The design goal is to stimulate young international students feeling connected to their loved ones while eating alone at home.
The concept should feel like siblings making sand castles on a sunny day. Therefore it should evoke freedom, comfort, relax, distraction and collaboration
