Context

The Tinytask is designed based on research in design for emotion and design for happiness. It is meant to become a part of the daily activities of the user through a small but meaningful interaction.

Purpose

The purpose of the tiny tasks is to translate the abstract knowledge from academic research on happiness into something tangible and usable in the daily lifestyle. The Tinytasks are designed to provide the user with specific, carefully selected, activities meant to boost their overall satisfaction with life. The tasks can be put on a key chain, both as a reminder of the current activity as well as a visual representation of completed activities.

Learnings

During the design process of the Tinytask the researchers have learned about the importance of the element of surprise and excitement. The tasks are based on research findings how daily activities can improve ones satisfaction with life. The physical shape of the Tinytask ended up being more effective than a paper based version.
