I am currently working on a project for the child oncology center Het Prinses Máxima Centrum voor Kinderoncologie. My research is focused on medical professionals and, at the moment, specifically on teamwork. I work on teamwork throughout a complete patient journey, that is both between medical professionals and between them and patients. We design for interaction and for change of behavior. Products used in a work context influence teamwork, therefore I investigate what kind of product are needed to improve teamwork or how the current products can be redesigned to achieve this effect. I want to change behavior in a sustainable way and in this case the lasting transfer effect is ensured but the constant use of the products stimulating the efficient teamwork.

Personal and delicate issue like healthcare raise questions on how far we can go with persuasion, influence and inquiries. There are questions which shouldn’t be asked and interventions which we are not allowed to introduce.
