Sharing library stories
This project is done in collaboration with DOKLAB part of the Delft library, with the main goal of developing a tool for in the library which can be used to generate, consume and share stories. The tool will explore the implication of multi-touch surface technology. The target audiences are the visitors of the library.
It is a multi-touch tool with which visitors can share short pieces of text for the purpose of information and entertainment. There is a proposition text on top that serves as a stimulus. This text is provided by the system and can change every week. Examples of propositions are: “Industrial Design Engineering is the toughest study of all” or “There is no such thing as unconditional love”. Visitors than can vote ‘for’ or ‘against’ by touching the red or blue buttons. After this they can type a short story which can be an opinion, an argument or a question. The stories appear as small post-its on the screen. Users can drag these post-its intuitively across the screen to rearrange them or browse underlying stories. It is possible to reply on the short messages or up and down vote them. Storobo makes it fun and easy to share stories in a public space while connecting people.
