Kick-off workshop, 10-02-06

workshop1:

On Friday afternoon of the 10th of February we started the Microsoft Design Challenge 2006 with a kick-off workshop at the Art Center in Delft. After a wonderful lunch, during which the teams were introduced, a first session followed, during which many possible driving forces in a future of unlimited bandwith were identified and listed.

Based on this list, the teams were split up into four new groups, which then had to produce a scenario, in which some of these driving forces were to be made explicit in a narrative structure. The visuals accompanying these scenario's, can be viewed by clicking on scenario1, scenario2, scenario3 and scenario4.

The afternoon ended with a presentation of each of the four scenario's, followed by a discussion.

In the following week each team will select a specific domain and develop a more elaborate scenario for this domain.
