Biography
Jie Li is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering, Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). She received her Master of Strategic Product Design, Retail Design Specialization at TU Delft in 2011, and Bachelor of Industrial Design at Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China, in 2009.
Her research interests include user-centered design, crowd behavior & psychology, wireless sensing technology & application and pervasive technology, etc.
She is currently working at project EWiDS (Extreme Wireless Distributed Systems), one of the projects under COMMIT. COMMIT is a ICT (Information Communication Technology) research community, which unites academic research and (non-) profit organizations, focusing on solving grand challenges in ICT for shaping tomorrow’s society (http://www.commit-nl.nl). The EWiDS project will develop and test large-scale wireless sensor networks to be used in crowd management, which will support the individuals to stay connected and feel comfortable even in a large crowd.
