About me<\/h1>\n

I am an\u00a0Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering (IDE), TU Delft, and am mostly involved in teaching and doing research\u00a0on Interaction and Experience Design related issues.\u00a0My current research focuses on museum experience design<\/a>. More about my research can be found on my research page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Organisation<\/h1>\n

I am Director of the\u00a0MuseumFutures Lab<\/a> at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering, a\u00a0Delft Design School Lab that provides room for graduate students to graduate on topics around the future of museum experience design. The\u00a0MuseumFutures Lab is always looking for opportunities to collaborate with other Faculty researchers or external parties. I am a member of the Connected Everyday Lab<\/a>\u00a0led by Elisa Giaccardi<\/a>\u00a0and am associated to\u00a0the Faculty’s Persuasive Gaming Group<\/a>. Currently, I am\u00a0involved in supervising four PhD candidates, as well as\u00a0in various Bachelor and Master courses related to Interaction and Experience Design (more about my educational activities can be found on my education page<\/a>). I am PhD mentor of a\u00a0varying number of\u00a0PhD candidates (usually around 10).<\/p>\n

Brief history<\/h1>\n

After graduating at the Faculty of\u00a0Industrial Design Engineering on a ‘Future User Interface Design’ project for Oc\u00e9 Nederland BV, I set up the Faculty’s\u00a0first usability lab and started doing research on usability. In 2009 I received my\u00a0PhD on methodological issues of usability testing ( \u2018What\u2019s the problem? Studies on identifying usability problems in user tests\u2019). I have been involved in various Dutch nationally funded research\u00a0programs, \u00a0as well as in various European projects.
