The system provides real-time feedback on a driver\u2019s behavior, triggered by\u00a0the accelerometer sensor in\u00a0the driver&#8217;s smartphone. \u00a0and provides a safer interface for accessing a limited number of mobiles phone functions, directly from the steering wheel.<\/p>\n<p>A strip of green LED lights in the steering wheel cover provides positive feedback about good driving behavior in a playful way: the safer and more energy efficient one drives, the more the steering wheel cover lights up, and the more the closed the circle of lights will be. In case of inefficient driving the lights will fade out and subtle vibrations provide intuitive feedback about driving too aggressively.<\/p>\n<p>Smart controls for playing music and for answering the phone are embedded in the steering wheel cover,\u00a0to stimulate more safe use of a limited number of smartphone functions. The cover is customized for users and does fit the steering wheels of most cars.
