New home technologies require new interfaces in the home and change people&#8217;s interactions with their home. Currently I contribute to themes 1,2 and 8 of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tudelft.nl\/urbanenergy\/research\/programs\/iebb\/iebb-projects\">IEBB project<\/a> and co-supervise <a href=\"https:\/\/evertvanbeek.com\/\">Evert van Beek&#8217;s<\/a> PhD project on the users&#8217; perspective on heat pump use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other research interests include design research for <a href=\"http:\/\/edusproject.nl\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"http:\/\/edusproject.nl\/\">patient empowerment, for example in orthopaedic rehabilitation<\/a>, and design for the user perspective on smart technology during travel, where I co-supervise Sumalee Udomboonyanupap&#8217;s PhD project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I am the coordinator of the <a href=\"https:\/\/delftdesignlabs.org\/inclusive-design-lab\/\">Delft Inclusive Design Lab<\/a> , a strategic alliance with lead partner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visio.org\/home\/\">Visio<\/a> and other partners. In this lab, we seek to generate new research collaborations with stakeholders. The Inclusive DesignLab is a platform for collaboration.
