Exhibition presentation |
In the future we believe the place of cars will change as the forms of transportation will be regulated more within city living. In future cities as the number of personal cars decrease the prominence of commercial cars used for mandatory tasks will rise. These types of vehicles are seen as disturbances or annoyances, especially for pedestrians and bikers. With these predictions and the problem area, we believe this was something intervention of design could help.
We speculated on future vehicles that have surface-changing technologies which can be morphed into whatever the owners wish. To accompany this technology, we designed an interaction that recognises people and reacts to their movement. As a completion of this conversation, the vehicle rewards the person interacting by revealing an image. This image can be formed into a gamified message or brand commercial even an art exhibition that travels through the city. We called this concept: Interactive Car Embodiment and we showed our concept to our client Ford with help of our prototype.
