1st concept: Learning tricks through AI

Empower snowboarders and skiers to learn and improve their tricks. Inspiring them by experts to train independently but also share their progress with friends and instructors.

Would you like your instructor to receive a massage when you are riding?

Can the AI improve the performance of the athletes, by getting immediate feedback on the performance their ollies (jumps) on a snowboard.

To improve your skills and learn new tricks: AI will generate a posture simulation and create a video to watch after a ride and compare ones? performance with friends or top athletes. Also, the length of jump in the air can be analysed from a vibration sensor(in the air- fewer vibrations through the body or snowboard.

How it works

The AI uses posture recognition software to detect what movements the user makes, here you can see an image of the AI tracking the human body and the persons posture.

2nd concept: Nature Awareness!

When snowboarding we sometimes still are not able to fully experience the nature. Everything passes by so fast, you hardly have time to take it all in; trees, peaks and slopes pass by so fast, and so many details are left behind. But what if nature would not be just a static background, but something you could interact with and experience more?

Could you revisit the nature that was left behind and learn more about the species that you just passed by?

This concept was based around the idea that the user could be made more aware of their presence and connection to nature when on the slopes! It was tested by using the ... software to recognise certain bird noises. It would prompt the user to guess which bird they heard.

By testing this concept, we discovered that the users would like to know more about how the environment has an effect on them.

3rd concept: Traces in the nature
