As an emotion-care friend
Drivers feel different kinds of emotions through their journey due to various urban, personal or environmental factors. Dealing with emotions related to urban driving is important to have a safe drive. The emotion-care system as data transfers to the car, and the car will give correspondent responses properly to the users.
Our Plan - What we want to achieve, Which program we used
To build affinity in AI by caring human emotions, bio data like images with facial expressions will be recognized by the car AI. Based on the data collected and model training, the emotional care AI system will provide careful responses. The experience should be friendly, natural, and connected.
To achieve this, we applied “Teachable Machine” to train AI with over 500 images of humans facial expressions.
In order to figure out the best performance of “Teachable Machine” . We have tried both pictures of ourselves and pictures from other libraries on the internet.
We also connected the “Teachable Machine” with P5.js. In the P5.js, we draw a rectangular to mimic the ambient light inside the car. With the facial expression changing, we are trying to make the colors changing in a certain color range with recommended music play on. Right now the prototype still can not welly mimic the entire idea.
Exploration by prototyping tests
Insights:
- Technology→ML5 training on the facial recognization of the model is lack of accuracy. It is possible to use face mesh to define the facial expression in accurate way
- Concept→Creates various reactions in the aspect of environments, audios and visuals
