Why only borrow rented tools?

Why not create a system that also lets handyman rent out their own tools?

While doing our tests multiple people said they would not want to share something they own with strangers, and sometimes not even with friends. While interviewing handyman a few weeks back they said the same thing. On top of that both of them said that if they had lend tools out, they often got it them broken.

This is not something we can prevent when they use their own tools, but we can prevent is with the tools in the module. These are connected and they track usage. By doing so the system can know when something breaks. It knows who was using it at the time, which makes it less fraud sensitive, and it can make sure the handyman who borrows out his module can still get a working tool on time, by notifying him and sending a new module.

As soon as their own tools can connect to the Boro system they can also be part of the pool of shared tools, but in this scenario we assume that is not the case.
