Our value proposition

By sharing tools, companies and handymen can save money on maintenance and storage. For big companies and independent handymen the value proposition of BORO will be slightly different.

Value proposition independent handymen.

The independent handyman we spoke to mentioned that rented tools are especially needed, fast, when one of his own tools breaks down. Now he often has to wait until he can pick up the tool that broke. Waiting around for tools to be picked can get very expensive, man hours still need to be payed.

This shows two opportunities where BORO can create value. First of all, by making sure the tools can get around fast. Which is something we kept in our mind while designing. One of the ways to do this is is by sub-renting the tools: renting out the rented tools on the days the handyman does not use them. We will discuss this further down the main page.

The second opportunity is that currently (smaller) devices are not delivered, only big tools like a cement mill are delivered. Further down the main page we discuss how a handyman can get access to module 'lockers'. These can also be used as delivery points. This means that the handyman no longer has to be physically present when a tool is delivered, which gives opportunities like late night delivery, or delivery during work.

Value proposition of company with multiple handymen

Currently, most of them already deliver tools to their employees, tools from their own storage, which they have to maintain themselves. They can outsource delivery and maintenance via BORO, which can save money and storage space. BORO can be used to create a good

For bigger companies delivery via the lockers can also play a role in the extra value the BORO system provides. Tools no longer have to move via the warehouse to one handyman to another. The delivery and pick-up can be done directly. Because the tools diagnose themselves the system knows when a tool should move back to the warehouse, because it will indicate it needs maintenance.

Overall, Boro aims to create a seamless network of moving tools that can make the handyman's job more efficient and less expensive. It acts as an end-end service that allows Handyman to plan their jobs, rent tools, maintain them and also send invoices.
